Human-Technology co-evolution

Some of us on the lunatic fringe of immersive VR have been arguing that this technology will continue and accelerate the ongoing process of human evolution: we create our technology and it changes us. It started with grasping of the sticks and rocks, but when your technology is something that taps directly into your mental processes (printing press, movies, internet, VR), things get far more interesting.
